I love this new photo of Jennifer Love Hewitt taken on January 24, 2009 while she was shopping with her step-sister. She was friendly and even signed autographs after she was done shopping. Her left hand is also in a cast after an accident. This particular photo was adorable, especially in light of her recent breakup with long-time beau, Ross McCall.
Now, for the recent Ghost Whisperer episode- Ms. Hewitt directed this one, and I must say, it was definitely creepy! It also had the right mix of angst- will Jim leave with his ex-fiance, or will he stay? The beginning of this episode gave me the willies- how many times have you ever skinny dipped, or just taken a swim in the evening? You may never do it again after you see this Ghost Whisperer episode!
I have to say I was a little bummed at the end of this episode. I really wanted to see Jim either hug Melinda or just simply hold her hand. Alas, another cliff-hanger for next week. For those that thought the romance was gone from Ghost Whisperer and thus quit watching it, they are missing some great romantic tension between “Jim” and Melinda. I don’t think those two are quite done yet!
It ain’t over until the fat ghost lady sings!

Last evening a new episode of Ghost Whisperer was on CBS. I’ve been following it and was “cautiously optimistic” about Jim remembering his past. While the episode was pretty good, I was a little disappointed. I expected that he would get a glimpse of his past life somehow and remember Melinda, but all that happened was he knew how to treat someone who was injured.
The episode itself, aside from my disappointment with Jim, was pretty good- and creepy as far as that goes. This particular episode was about a ghost kid who had been injured while horsing around on a lawn mower. For anyone that follows the news, these types of accidents are all too common- expecially when two people ride them at once (think parent with a child on their lap- how dumb can you get?!). The ghost in this episode was chopped up pretty well after he fell off a riding lawn mower and was run over by his older brother. Yuck.
The older brother, eaten up by guilt, eventually tries to kill himself by jumping off of the roof of his two-story house. This is where Jim comes in- he “remembers” how to keep the kid from damaging the nerves in his arm and creates a field splint for the arm with a stack of magazines and a towel. Pretty nifty, and he thinks he learned this by watching television. Melinda then asks Jim if he is starting to remember things, he replies that he thinks so. Unfortunately, instead of turning to Melinda for help, he heads straight for the house of his fiance.
Will these star-crossed lovers ever hook up again? Stay tuned for next week- it should be interesting with Melinda tagging along on Jim’s trip to visit his fiance.

I was bummed that a new episode of Ghost Whisperer wasn’t on last evening, but I guess that is to be expected. However, the teaser for next week is that Jim is going to start remembering his past. I think this will make for an interesting story line- perhaps he will even remember Melinda, not just his life as a EMT.
Personally, I’d just like it to be Jim (David Conrad), not the guy who’s body is being inhabited by Jim’s ghost. It is kind of confusing seeing “Jim,” then in a nearby mirror it is this other guy’s reflection. I understand why they’re doing that, it is just a little weird to me.
And then there is the ex-fiance. Who was the chick, and is she likely to make a new play for “Jim”? Will Melinda even stand a chance if another woman suddenly appears on the scene? I just think there are more roadblocks ahead for this doomed romance. Maybe Professor Payne will return and really confuse the issue.
Well, here’s hoping next week will live up to everyone’s expectations. Until then, I’m watching missed episodes on Netflix!

Okay, I know I’m not the only one who was disappointed when Melissa’s hubby Jim bit the big one. I kept hoping that this was some kind of weird dream sequence, or maybe it still is. Stranger things have happened on television…
I’ve decided to dedicate an entire category to rants on the Ghost Whisperer show, though my own rant started when Andrea (Aisha Tyler) was killed by a freak plane accident. I thought she had really good chemistry as a friend with Melissa. While it took a little time for me to warm up to the new character Delia, I like her a little better since she decided to accept Melissa’s gifts.
And… just when I got used to Professor Payne, and his quirky personality, off he went to points unknown (yeah, I know, he got his own series).
So, what I want to know is, will Professor Payne return, even for some guest appearances and romance Melissa. Will Jim return after the “dream sequence” and, is anyone else on the verge of dying? I think we’ve buried enough characters in this television drama.
Feel free to leave your thoughts and point of view. There are no wrong answers here!
